In the UK, the law states that you must solemnise a marriage underneath a permanent structure with a solid roof. While this means you cannot get married underneath a marquee, they are the perfect place to host a reception or additional celebrations. You can erect them on most surfaces and choose locations that generally cost less than a fixed wedding venue.
Marquees arrive as a blank surface so you can completely design your event to suit your individual needs. Specific lighting, coloured marquee linings, dance floors – there are a host of options to help you emphasise the theme of your wedding. They can also be used throughout the year and generally have fewer late-night restrictions meaning you can extend the party further through the night.
